These sessions take place three times a week and allow participants to discuss and plan their ideas, including entrepreneurial and community projects. Young people can participate in specific training and workshops to help with the planning and development of their projects. Alongside these sessions we run an employability programme, exploring opportunities and providing guidance on CV writing, completing applications and interview techniques.
We provide a visible space where youth achievements can be displayed giving young people a sense of pride in their community. Parents, grandparents and residents can share in this pride as well as the wider community – commuters to Kings Cross and local business people.
The project aims to educate young people in the positive outcomes of community engagement by providing a forum through which they present themselves: offering positive input into the community by creating a sustainable enterprise and delivering an accessible space.
